GPS Not Working

If GPS verification isn’t working correctly, try these solutions.

Check Location Permissions

The most common issue is location permissions:

On iPhone:

1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
2. Find Geowork
3. Select “While Using the App” or “Always”

On Android:

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Geowork
2. Tap Permissions > Location
3. Select “Allow all the time” or “Allow only while using”

Enable High Accuracy Mode (Android)

1. Go to Settings > Location
2. Enable “High accuracy” or “GPS and Wi-Fi”

Poor GPS Signal

GPS may not work well in:

• Basements or underground areas
• Dense urban areas with tall buildings
• Inside metal buildings or warehouses

Solution: Move to an open area when clocking in/out.

Battery Saver Mode

Battery saver can limit GPS accuracy:

• Disable battery saver while using Geowork
• Or add Geowork to battery optimization exceptions

Still Having Issues?

If GPS problems persist:

1. Restart the Geowork app
2. Restart your phone
3. Uninstall and reinstall Geowork
4. Contact support with your device model and OS version
