Inviting Crew Members

Get your field crews set up with Geowork in minutes.

Sending Invitations (Supervisors)

From the supervisor dashboard Workers panel:

1. Scroll to the Invite crew member card
2. Enter the crew member’s Name
3. Enter their Phone number (mobile number for SMS verification)
4. Select their Role:
   • Crew: Field workers who clock in/out and track time
   • Foreman / PM: Can view crew status and manage operations
   • Admin: Full access to all features and settings
5. Click Send invite

The crew member will receive an SMS with their company code and login instructions.

What Crew Members Need

Crew members need:

• A smartphone (iPhone or Android) with a modern web browser
• Location services enabled on their device
• Their company code (included in the invite SMS)
• Their registered phone number

How Crew Members Log In

Crew members access Geowork through the web at:

geowork.app/crew/your-company-code/login

Or they can use the main login page:

1. Go to geowork.app/login
2. Select I’m a field crew member
3. Enter the company code (from their invite or supervisor)
4. Enter their approved work phone number
5. Tap Send code to receive an SMS verification code
6. Enter the 6-digit code to access the crew workspace

The phone number must match what the supervisor entered when sending the invite.

The Crew Workspace

Once logged in, crew members can:

• Clock in/out: Tap to start or end their shift with GPS verification
• Start/end breaks: Track rest breaks and lunch periods separately
• View time card: See today’s hours, weekly totals, and break counts
• Add field notes: Document site conditions for the next crew member
• View punch list: Check and complete assigned tasks
• Verify location: Confirm they’re at the correct job site

Roles Explained

• Crew: Field workers who clock in/out, track time, and add field notes
• Foreman / PM: Can view crew status, manage jobs, and access reporting
• Admin: Full access to all features, settings, and company configuration

Tips for Crew Adoption

• Show the simplicity: The crew workspace is designed for quick clock-ins—just select a job and tap “Clock in”
• Explain GPS verification: Location is only captured at clock events, not continuously
• Address privacy: When clocked out, no location tracking occurs
• Share the company code: Make sure all crew members know the company code for login

Troubleshooting Login Issues

If a crew member can’t log in:

• “Phone number not approved”: The supervisor needs to add their phone number via the Workers panel
• “Workspace not available”: Check that the company code is correct
• No SMS received: Wait 30 seconds and tap “Send code” again, or check the phone number format
